Colonial Challenge Cup 2018 Recap
Another successful CCC Regatta was held over the weekend of September 7-9, and although a somewhat depleted fleet competed for the coveted trophy, everyone had a good time especially Joe DeChamp and his crew. First time winner of the coveted trophy. Some might say that they had the fastest boat, but crew and skipper will claim navigational skill... and of course, discipline. Bob Waechter, Skipper of the German boat, has vowed to return in 2019 and return the Cup to the Fatherland with that Teutonic determination that we all love.
Our thanks to Tony Newman and his crew for providing the Committee Boat and to Mike Harrison for setting the race schedule. Oliver Munday, a founding member of the CCC regatta, returned to feed the Commodore and the committee boat using all his cuisenary skills.
The date of the 2019 Regatta will be held over the weekend of September 7/9.
Remember the proceeds from both the Regatta and CCC Track day go to support the Annapolis Trust.
